Spencer has turned 12! Those teenage years are now knocking and I’m trying to hold on a little tighter. No, I don’t want to smother the boy but I do want time to slow down just a tad. Tuesday night, Rico took the boys to a movie to have a small celebration and Friday night we went to see the Braves play in Atlanta. Between all the pizza, hotdogs, dippin’ dots, and funnel cake, I think this pre-teen had a great time. Oh and the Friday night fireworks weren’t bad either! Go Braves and Happy Birthday Spencer!

Black Eyed Susans
The black eyed Susans bloomed in South Georgia and we just had to snap a few photos. They won’t last much longer and that is sad. They add so much color and sweetness to the fields and roadsides.

Briggs Is Going Buggy
The school year is now over and we are so excited for summer! Right before the year came to and end, our third grader participated in “Going Buggy”. He was very excited to play the part of a firefly. “We get to use flashlights Mom!” He also liked that the fireflies performed their song in the dark. Our shy guy is trying to open up more and more but still not loving the spot light.
You have so much to show the world buddy. Let your light shine!
