Reid Is THREE!!!

Our sweet boy turned three on Saturday.  We celebrated with friends and family Saturday evening in our home.  When I began thinking about this party and the theme, I originally thought about going with a theme tied to his favorite book, Brown Bear Brown Bear.  But the boy likes BIG trucks and he cannot lie! So, in the end it was a big truck theme that took over.

 

  I used my nanny’s pound cake recipe again to whip up a birthday cake.  I love that this pound cake is becoming a tradition in our home!  I usually make my mama’s buttercream icing but this time we needed chocolate buttercream and some crushed cookies to create “dirt” for our trucks!  It was yummy and we had plenty leftover even though I cut huge pieces!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thank you so much to our wonderful friends and family for celebrating our guy with us!  Reid begins preschool tomorrow!!! So, this mama is signing off to get everything ready for my little guy’s big day!
